After the no-show last year, SMTOWN LIVE 10 World Tour returns for the first time since 2008.

Super Junior-K.R.Y. wraps up Japan concert in success

Super Junior-K.R.Y., the sub-unit of popular idol group Super Junior, successfully wrapped up their first live concert In Japan over the weekend.

Agency SM Entertainment explained in a press release on Monday that sub-group members Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, performed in front of some 10,000 fans at the “SUPER JUNIOR K.R.Y. SPECIAL CONCERT IN JAPAN 2010” concert, held at Tokyo’s International Forum in Japan on Sunday,

The concert, held at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., attracted fans in Japan as well as those from Korea, China and other Asian countries.

This was the first solo and overseas concert by Super Junior’s four sub-units — Super Junior-K.R.Y, Super Junior-T, Super Junior-M and Super Junior-Happy. The trio of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung are known for being the ballad unit.

Super Junior-K.R.Y performed a total of 20 songs which included original soundtrack numbers “Dreaming Hero”, “Stop Walking By”, Super Junior track “Let’s Not Run Into Each Other” as well as solo tracks “I Listen…To You”, “It Has To Be You” and “Spring Day.”

The singers also prepared several J-pop performances for the local fans; Kyuhyun sang “Infection” by Onitsuka Chiriro and “Hitomio Tojite” by Hirai Ken while Ryewook and Yesung performed “Mikazuki” by Ayaka and “Unmei No Hito” by EXILE, respectively.

Fellow Super Junior members Donghae and Sungmin also showed up at the concert as special musical guests and performed “Kurumi” by Japanese band Mr. Children as well as “What If” and “Mirror.”

Super Junior — composed of members Leeteuk, Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum and Kyuhyun — debuted in December 2005 with their first studio album titled “SuperJunior05 (TWINS)”.

They became a K-pop phenomenon across Asia, thanks to the success of their subsequent albums “Don’t Don” (2007) and “Sorry, Sorry” (2009), and held two sold-out concert tours in 2008 and 2009 titled “The 1st Asia Tour – Super Show” and “Super Show 2”.

The boys have been promoting their latest studio album “BONAMANA” as a ten-man band with three of its members — Kang-in, Kibum and Hangeng — taking a break from group activities, each for different reasons.

Super Junior is scheduled to hold a concert titled “SUPER JUNIOR THE 3rd ASIA TOUR ‘SUPER SHOW 3′,” to be held at Seoul Olympic Park’s Gymnastics Arena on August 14 and 15.

SMTOWN live world tour 2010 in august!

According to that advertisement found on a bus in Korea by a Soshi fan, SMTOWN concert will be held in Seoul olympic stadium on august 21st (that’s the week end after super show).
There will be super junior, girls’ generation, shinee, f(x), Changmin and yunho (dbsk), trax, boa, etc. (see the poster)

There is no news what so ever yet online to confirm the other dates of that “World Tour”, and there is no date for the ticketing either (that will be held on Gmarket).

Super Junior takes 3rd win on TV music program

Korean male idols Super Junior continued their reign atop a televised music program over the weekend.

The group collected their third consecutive win on KBS’ music show “Music Bank” with their title track “BONAMANA” from their fourth studio release of the same name, up against “2 Different Tears” by the Wonder Girls.

The boy band thanked their agency SM Entertainment in their acceptance speech while for their encore performance, they changed the word “BONAMANA” in their song to “Kyuhyun” who had been unable to perform on the show due to undergoing surgery for a middle-ear infection last week.

Other performances on the show included those by Monday Kiz, SS501, 8eight, and T.MAX.

The boys have been enjoying a successful comeback with their new album “BONAMANA” released on May 13 and are currently preparing for their third Asia Tour “SUPER SHOW 3” which will begin in mid-August.

Meanwhile, a special documentary featuring the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Korea aired instead of SBS’ weekend program “Inkigayo” to commemorate the country’s Memorial Day.

Super Junior SS3 to kickstart in Korea in August, plans to visit on 13 cities all over Asia

It is confirmed, Super Junior’s Third Asian Tour “Super Show 3” will once again be happening all over Asia.

Super Junior’s 3rd ASIA TOUR “SUPER SHOW 3” will be opening in Seoul, and progress through Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and many more. They are scheduled to appear on 13 cities all over Asia and perform 16 concerts, this tour is expected to shake the hearts of their fans.

Their SUPER SHOW 3 will kick start in Seoul in August 14 and 15 in Seoul Olympic Park. Super Junior’s Kyuhyun’s minor ear surgery today… inevitable ceasing of involvement in activities

Super Junior member Kyuhyun is receiving surgery for inflammation of his middle ear.

He is planned to have surgery for inflammation of his middle ear on June the 3th, at a hospital in Seoul. As he will have to rest for 3-4 days in hospital following the surgery, he will be unable to appear on stage at the planned KBS “Music Bank” and MBC “Music Core” performances in 4 and 5 days.

Kyuhyun, who’s had symptoms of inflammation of his middle ear since he was young, has been experiencing worsened symptoms lately and was advised to have surgery, and has been planning to have surgery in order to take part in activities across Asia.

Super Junior’s entertainment company said “We will be watching over Kyuhyun’s recovery and decide the best time for him to return”. For the present, it seems that Super Junior will be performing without Kyuhyun as 9 members.
